Anticipation is the best part of gardening. We anticipate the first signs of new life in the early spring. Then we anticipate the arrival of each new wave of bloom throughout the growing season. By October, we anticipate draining the last gas out of the garden machinery and tools and catching up on reading about gardens.
You nailed it Mary! Looks like we are on the same page. Woo hoo!
I don’t know that anticipation is better for me than all else, but I believe I know what you mean. I love that too, eagerly running out to my garden every morning, gauging the newest buds for their readiness to bloom. I also love the bloom, and the unfolding drama of texture and color and shape as the buds unfurl. Pretty awesome all around.
And this time of year is off the charts Cheryl. Anticipation and then awe, anticipation and then awe.
