… stare at said lemon for hours on end, shocked you could even produce one of these on a tropical tree in your colder climate. Or something like that.
Weather still sucks here in case you were wondering. The only way to even think about checking out the garden is via hovercraft and mine is in the shop.
So I’ll have to entertain myself by ogling the lone Meyer lemon that is on the tree right now.
Well that and the last remaining bloom on the tree as well.
OK and also the new growth that has emerged all over the tree.
Did I mention how wonderful it is outside?
Yes, that is lawn and not the Delaware River.
I did eventually find a way to get out in the garden without being swept away just to enjoy the bulbs that have started to put on growth at a nice pace.
The daffodils.
And the crocuses.
Even more exciting, is the promise of Viburnum blooms in the near future.
It is coming slowly, but at least we are trending in the right direction.
Wow, that is a lot of water! Your lemon tree is doing really well though, it must be happy with the over winter growing conditions.
Did you do anything to get your lemon tree to bear fruit? My lime tree had oodles of blossoms a few months ago but they all fell off.
Wow! Your weather sucks!
Love that lemon though! I have one little meyer lemon plant; I’m hoping for a lemon at some point down the road.
Keep up the good job!
My lemon tree produces a good crop (Meyer) around December in Northern California.
It is just producing new leaves and soon will be loaded with blossoms.I just love the smell of citrus flowers.
Jeepers, John… Looking at the lawn photo- wondered if ducks and geese come
gliding in? Perhaps the Spring peepers soon?
Do continue to watch and enjoy looking for sure signs of Spring. It’s out there!!
Wow- that’s some serious lawn flooding. How long will that take to dry out? This has been the Wettest March in our recorded history here in western Washington. Really an Unbelievable amount of rain, so Come On Spring!! Wish my little lime tree looked as happy as your lemon does. I love the scent of the flowers but the little fruits tend to fall off. Good luck with your lemon!
