So lovely to see at this time of year. I trust that these are all better behaved than the oat grass!
What are the short clumps of golden grass? Are they evergreen? I think you’ve talked about them before – they look cheery this time of year! Also, what is the conifer in front of the grass in the top photo? How tall & wide will it be & do the deer avoid it? Love your blog!
Sigh…your ‘Northwind’ is so stunning.
Amy – I think at this point, all of the others are better behaved than the oat grass.
Anonymous – The gold grass is Acorus gramineus ‘Oboruzuki’ and the conifer is Juniper ‘Wichita Blue’. Still don’t know how the deer have missed it but they haven’t touched it for two years now. Supposed to get up to 10-12 feet tall and maybe 5 feet wide.
