Yes ladies and gentleman, that post title is no lie. Tis the season to get yourself some seriously awesome perennials, shrubs or ornamental grasses at my absolute favorite place to buy plants on-line – Bluestone Perennials. I have been buying from them for over 8 years now and every single plant delivered was a gem. You will find an incredible variety to choose from at super reasonable prices. I highly recommend using the “custom plant search” function on their home page where you can put in your specific criteria so you can find plants suited for your zone/climate.
In order to enter the contest, I ask that you add a comment to this post and indicate which one plant you would be most excited to purchase. Also, include your email address so I can notify the winner and get their home address so the gift certificate can be mailed to you directly from Bluestone. I will be running the contest from now until 8:00 PM EST on Sunday night, December 19th at which point, the winner will be chosen completely at random.
So don’t miss out and get your entries in ASAP. I am friggin excited for you all.

Do I really have to choose one? The selection of Echinacea, Helleborus, and Hydrangea are amazing. But I think the Clematis are what I’m drooling over the most, especially ‘Franziska Maria’.
Here’s hoping I win 🙂
Right now I’m lusting after a really fancy looking clematis vine. Like a ‘Josephine’ clematis, those are super cool. I missed the boat on ordering one last year.
My email is dracorules22 at yahoo dot com.
Your contest sounds too good to be true 😀
I have a huge crush on, CHAENOMELES Cameo : Flowering Quince, Cydonia. I went to the Bluestone website and now I have drool all over my computer.

I am obsessed with trying to add more color and winter interest to the yard. I’d like to see a Cornus stolonifera ‘Cardinal’ as a backdrop. I say, yes please, and thank you.
love Bluestone as well and gets lots from them…they have great specials and coupons….lusting after the New Millenium delphiniums!! Thx for having the contest…
Sweet! Although I’ve never shopped at Bluestone I loved their online catalog. I’d love to have this shade loving plant in my garden next year.
CIMICIFUGA Hillside Black Beauty! This year I planted the green leafed variety of Cimicifuga (Bugbane) and absolutely loved it. I could have used the beautiful fragrance as perfume! Such a strange, unattractive name for such a beauty!
Amsonia. I think they have 3 different kinds. I want all of them. I just painted my shutters a pretty French blue and my front door is a golden yellow. This perennial would go so beautifully with my colors.
Well, my husband keeps requesting more red in the garden and Bluestone has a beautiful Achillea plant called Paprika that might pacify him.

Oh my goodness! How can I just pick one?!? We ripped out our front yard to put in veggies and herbs, so I would love to get some herbs from them. Oh, and some violas. And some grasses, and some ground cover…
I have been looking for a place to get some ornamental grasses, and their are gorgeous. What a great giveaway!!!
I’d like to get a GAULTHERIA Procumbens .
I would totally get some Hydrangea – perhaps the Little Lime or Blue Bunny. Love them all!
I would love a few hydrangea, especially the Abracadabra Orb! Thank you!

How wonderful. I order from Bluestone Perennials often and love their plants. I have been looking toward some more plants with winter interest like some grasses, cotoneaster and I have had my eye on their CALYCANTHUS Hartlage Wine.
Wishing you a Wonderful Christmas.
I have been a Bluestone customer since the early 1980s ordering plants for 4 different houses and yards, and am delighted to see their progress each year as their mailed catalog gets more sophisticated! Living in Atlanta I particularly appreciate the S and N designations. I would like to try a threesome of Lavender ‘Silver Edge’ to add to my herb garden.
I find myself doing the ‘Fire Dance’ over the ‘Ellagance Sky’ of ‘Pink Cloud'(s). As I wander over the ‘Green Carpet’, I am reminded of the graceful melody of ‘Stairway to Heaven’, which brought such a ‘Touch of Class’ with its ‘Fireworks’ of emotions, sung by such ‘Hearthrob'(s). Further reflection finds my mind turned inward to my fanciful ‘Garden Gnome’, whom I affectionately refer to as ‘Margarette’ because the name reminds me of ‘Royalty’. As I say Hosta la Vista to my memories of ‘Silver Moon’ and ‘Moonlight’ strolls, I turn ‘Green (with) Envy’ over a ‘Hot Papaya’ ‘Milkshake’ in a tall glass filled with ‘Blue Ice’ (cubes), leaving me in a ‘Blue Haze’ yet full of ‘Hope’ for my future garden!
I just got their new catalog and have been salivating over the rodgesia. I keep going back and forth-do I REALLY need it? If I win that will be one. That and one or two of their beautiful viburnums. I order from them two times last year. Their plants always arrive in great shape and do well. Love their catalog. My email is: ramseytina5@gmail.com
Please random generator choose me! Then I will know I NEED that rodgesia!
There are so many plants to choose from! But a Petite Purple buddleia that showed up on one of my searches seems intriguing. Imagine a small buddleia!
I’d love to get some mums! eemoody77 at gmail dot com
I want this! BAPTISIA Starlite Prairieblues : False Indigo, Wild Indigo and…their baby border package. and and and!!!!

If I had to choose one, which I can’t…I would have to choose daylilies and Echi’s. Both are tried and true garden dwellers and they not only give back in beauty and reliability, they give us……………seeds! LOL
