I am longing for the heat of summer today, so selfishly, I am posting photos of my favorite Panicum in chronological order from spring through current day. The friggin spring cannot come soon enough. Enjoy:

I agree…it seems so cold out today….I don’t even want to go outside and check on some things in the garden.
This is a beautiful all-season grass!! Well, almost all-season. We are covered with snow here in Edmonton and just got through a cold snap. How cold does it get there in the winter? We sometimes experience -30 something but with the windchill it can be colder than -40 Celsius. I too am looking forward to spring!!
I am with you…heavy snow today in Nov up here in Central NY…sigh..want the spring to come…thx for the post
SPRING!?!?! That’s a long wait, brother.
Wow, I need to get some of that for around our pond! It is beautiful!
Wow! What a beautiful grass, through the seasons! I too am longing for spring. For now the strangely early snow will have to keep me amused.
Cheers!
Laura.
I can only have potted plants but I think this would be gorgeous on my porch!
any idea on how it compares with shenadoah?
ive had a few shens. that didnt develop any red colour but most accounts say its the reddest panicum although not as bright red as Rotstrahlbusch.
i recently acquired a Rotstrahlbusch (partly after seeing your influential pics of it infront of miscanthus verigata), i got it in the autumn and it already had its lovely red colour, a brighter more noticeable red than blood grass, im hoping it will show that colour most of the year next year too and not just develop it in the autumn.
