Knock Knock
Who’s there?
Fall
Fall who?
Um … it’s not a joke, Fall is officially upon us.
Before I get to the photos, check out The Fall Color Project. At this site, there will be a collection of awesome Fall foliage photos from all over the blogosphere. Check it out already!
Crabapple ‘Prairie Fire’
Itea ‘Henry’s Garnet’ (named after it’s Fall color)
Eastern Bluestar (Amsonia Tabernaemontana) moving towards it’s outstanding yellow Fall color
Northern Sea Oats with it’s “oats” changing to it’s Fall/Winter color
Viburnum Plicatum ‘Shoshoni’
Yes … weeds running rampant … but can’t deny the color works this time of year
Sedum ‘Matrona’
Viburnum Carlesii ‘Aurora’
It’s reassuring to know that another serious gardener also has weeds growing rampant
Those oats are beautiful!!!
Very nice colours of fall. I too am doing a post on autumn at:

Hi Dirt Digger,
Autumn is approaching us over here as well. I must admit though, that while I do love the colours that it brings, it also brings a silent menace because of all the leaf clearing that will have to be done at work.
Love the oats – and the weeds! Have you come across the Fall Color Project? This would be a perfect entry for it. Fascinating that your Crab Apple is already turning – mine is still in late summer green.
I wrote a planting plan so I could ignore. I’ve just planted winter lettuce and rocket, just to see what happens!
Love the oats and I’ve always been a big fan of the goldenrod! I also can’t see enough how much I enjoy viburnums. Some of them really have fantastic color for fall and provide food for the birds. They’ve already cleaned out our viburnums of berries! Thanks for joining in the FCP – I’ll have a summary post up this Friday with all the participants this week!
Came by from Dave’s….you do have touches of Fall around you, nice!
